Cosmetic Dentistry Case 1
This patient was extremely self conscious and embarrassed about his smile which led to him actively avoiding social occasions. There was obvious decay as well as fractures of his front teeth together with an ill-fitting temporary crown.
The patient and I agreed on a treatment plan to restore his smile in a completely natural way.
The first step was to remove the decay and then I placed bespoke porcelain crowns on the four front teeth. The remaining teeth were whitened to remove all the staining that had built up over the years.
The result was a smile that the patient and I are both proud of.
Cosmetic Dentistry Case 2
This patient was unhappy with her smile because she felt that her front teeth were worn and irregular.
The teeth were shorter than they should have been and this led to an aged appearance.
The patient also felt that her back teeth were not visible when she smiled making her smile look too narrow.
We agreed to use porcelain veneers to correct the length, width and overall shape of the teeth. We also added veneers on some of the back teeth to bring them into view and create a wider, more even smile.
As can be seen in the “after” picture, the smile is now a lot more feminine and is well framed by the lips.

Cosmetic Dentistry Case 3
This young patient had an ill-fitting veneer on her upper left front tooth which was excessively thick and causing inflammation of her gums.
After whitening the natural teeth we removed the old veneer and made a new one which was much more natural and lifelike.
Cosmetic Dentistry Case 4
This patient had what we call a “negative smile line”. This meant that the front teeth were shorter than the side ones and this caused the smile to have a downturned appearance. There were also several missing teeth.
The patient wanted a much brighter and more glamorous look which we achieved with the use of porcelain veneers and crowns. The patient’s skin tone lent itself to bright vibrant teeth which were made much more feminine by softening the edges into a more rounded shape.
The length of each individual tooth was carefully designed to create a more pleasing smile line which was now parallel with the lower lip and framed perfectly.
This was a very satisfying case to do as it completely transformed the patient’s appearance.

Cosmetic Dentistry Case 5
This patient was extremely conscious of her smile as she worked in a client-facing role.
She was unhappy with her smile because her front teeth were misaligned and she had an abscess related to one of them.
This was a very interesting case as there were several different disciplines required to produce a successful outcome.
A combination of short term removable braces, an implant, veneers and a bridge were used in order to transform this patient’s smile.
This was a very rewarding case to deal with for all concerned.
Cosmetic Dentistry Case 6
This patient had a very unstable crown on his upper left front tooth which was continually falling out and the cement he had been using to put it back in was building up and causing inflammation of the gum around the tooth.
The other front teeth were also heavily filled and the patient wished for his smile to be restored to the way he remembered it.
I used 6 new porcelain veneers and crowns to rebuild the front teeth and bring the gums back to health again.

Cosmetic Dentistry Case 7
This patient was concerned at the crowding of her upper and lower teeth in addition to the relatively wide front teeth. The gums were also quite inflamed and in need of attention.
My solution was to first of all improve the gum condition and then use discreet “invisible” braces to straighten the upper and lower teeth.
At the same time as this was being done I recontoured the two front teeth to make them look narrower and in better proportion to the rest of the teeth.
After the alignment was complete I whitened the upper and lower teeth and then placed “no-prep” porcelain veneers on the small tooth on either side of the front ones.
Only two veneers were needed and the effect was exactly what the patient had been looking for.
Cosmetic Dentistry Case 8
This patient needed extensive treatment to improve the alignment, size, shape and health of her teeth. The upper front teeth were too short as a result of ongoing damage caused by grinding against the edges of the lower front teeth.
There was too much display of gum when the patient smiled.
The teeth were stained and the existing crowns were ill fitting and the patient found them unsightly.
In order to restore the front teeth to their original size it was necessary to first move them forward slightly so that they no longer met the lower teeth edge to edge. I used a removable brace to do this which took approximately 12 weeks.
Following this I whitened the upper and lower teeth, fixed the gumline and then used a combination of crowns and bridges to complete the restoration.
The patient opted for a completely natural look and so the colour and characteristics were perfectly matched to the lower natural teeth, so much so that it is very difficult to tell them apart.
Needless to say the patient is delighted.
